OK Boomer Podcast 7-14-23

A few weeks ago, I spotted a woman curled-up next to a plastic box of her things.  I think she was homeless.  And though I couldn’t see her face, she might have been a Boomer, because too many Boomers are retiring…to the streets.

Percussionist Kevin Lucas will be performing two fundraisers late this month for the homeless. We’ll hear from Keven later in the program.

Exercise! Walking on a treadmill texting on your Smart phone. Actually, some of us would rather text and skip the treadmill. But what would you think if there was someplace to walk where you could actually see interesting things?

In the middle of the pandemic Kristi Weaver organized a group called Shawnee Saunterers for those over 50. The group frequently saunter through Shawnee National Forest.  We’ll be talking with Kristi.
