OK Boomer for 7-7-23

Two years ago I visited a Senior Citizens Center for the first time. Why? Because at 68 I didn’t think I was old. It turns out other Boomers feel the same way according to Jill Graskowitzwho talks about her parents.

Jill runs a local senior center that is catering to the young-oldsters. She’ll be on in a few minutes.

Now let’s here is something that doesn’t make much sense….a rural area surrounded by farms BUT...with little access to fresh food.

Karen Jensen-Britton plans to put the farm on wheels….so to speak.

Then, we’ll look at how mental health was treated in our early childhoods…

Olivia De Haviland starred in one of the first films to treat mental illness seriously Snake Pit, made in 1948. We think you should see it again.

Speaking of mental health. We’ll discuss COVID and the brain., and it’s not good. A COVID vaccine initiative...that’s good. Coffee and the brain...even better. And we’ll have some stats about how big the Baby Boomer generation is in general, and what’s happening to us health-wise.

That's next on OK Boomer with Robert Rickman.

Where we're "Keepin' it real!"
