OK Boomer for 1-27-23

FALLS...with all capital letters!  Sometimes we Boomers act as if we are still 23 and bulletproof...until we fall.  We'll talk to a lady who fell, learned from it, and plays Bingosize-a little Bingo, and a lot of exercise.

Then will talk about Bob Saget's deadly fall, followed by OK Boomer's Bob Smith and his bump into a wall (which led to brain surgery) and host Robert Rickman's fall that led to dinged ribs.  And these two 70-somethings work out and are in otherwise good physical condition!

Are you next to fall?

Later, Bob and his wife Martia tickle your mind with brain teasers on "The Off Ramp."

We'll also have the latest Covid and Alzheimer's news, the federal government cracking down on nursing homes prescribing antipsychotic drugs when not necessary plus, a story about many older workers who are no longer settling for stressful working conditions or fully in-person jobs.

Then we'll hear from Joyce Metcalf a former university librarian who has retired...to a local library.

During the AARP minute, we'll hear about how eating foods like broccoli can improve your health, and we'll also hear George Bush hold a press conference in 1990 about broccoli,"...and I'm President of the United States, and not eating any more broccoli!

The first lady will be quoted out of context multiple times during a tour of the White House...in the mid 1960s.  Yes, we're referring to Lady Bird Johnson.

And former disc Jockey Roger Ramjet plays some Bobby Daren.

It's on this edition of OK Boomer, where we're "Keepin' it Real!"
