Bob Baer is on the left of the SIU Astronomy team.

There is this little college town in the southern Midwest which is 15-miles from the nearest interstate. This little town will be the center of National attention on April 8, 2024, because at 2:01 in the AFTERNOON, the sky will turn black.

Bob Baer of Southern Illinois University is organizing amateur astronomers nationwide to observe the total eclipse on April 8, 2024.

And guess what little town surrounded farms by and forests will be at the center of the universe that afternoon?

Now to the topic of work. Surprisingly there is a large segment of Boomers who have not retired but are still working. So many, that the director of a Midwest senior center says many of the working Boomers can’t find time to visit the center.

Have you listened to a.m. radio lately. A few years ago I worked at an A.M. radio station in Nashville, Tn but when two low power F.M. transmitters were added, many people switched to the FMs. We’ll examine the future of a.m. radio with a professor who spent 50-years in the broadcasting industry.

Then Bob Smith hosts a special feature on the legendary Buddy Holly, that will be during the second half of the program.

That's all next, on OK Boomer where...

"We're Keepin' it real!"
